Seismic vessel collides with offshore platform?


Unconfirmed news from Azerbaijan has reported that five offshore workers were injured when a seismic vessel collided with an offshore platform in the Caspian Sea.

According to ABC.AZ the Arya 141, owned by the Caspian Shipping Company, lost control and crashed into offshore platform #34 as it was conducting a seismic survey in the Narimanov area.

Five of seven crew members were reportedly injured and one was hospitalized. Socar, the national oil company, is reportedly investigating.

At the time of going to press neither the Caspian Shipping Company nor Socar had commented on the report.
