Polarcus to commence six week Zenaide seismic survey

Polarcus has announced that it has secured high industry prefunding for the ‘Zenaide’ multi-client broadband 3D marine seismic project in the Bonaparte Basin.

The project is scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of this year and will run for approximately six week, Polarcus said.

The acquisition area is believed to be about 3300km², although Polarcus did not clarify the distances involved in the project.

In September, however, the company released an activity plan in which the acquisition area, located within the western Joseph Bonaparte Gulf of the Bonaparte Basin (block WA-522-P), was shown to be about 60km offshore in water depths of approximately 60-98 meters.
