The Cooper-Eromanga is the most prolific onshore oil and gas basin in Australia. There are at least fourteen prospective stratigraphic zones for explorers to target. Exercises include the interpretation of seismic, wireline log and core data and the integration of these data, using a Sequence Stratigraphic methodology, to produce predictive depositional models for reservoir and seal distribution. The course commences with an introducing to the principles and concepts of Sequence Stratigraphy, interspersed with short exercises.
