Former Woodside CFO Joins Sydney Gas Sydney Gas recently appointed Woodside Petroleum's former Chief Financial Officer, Robert Carroll, to its board as a non-executive director. Carroll, who worked at Woodside for 21 years, starting out as a corporate accounting manager in 1981, said he was looking forward to being involved in the company. He said there were a lot of parallels between Woodside in the early years and Sydney Gas today, and he was excited about the company's future. Sydney Gas Chief Executive Officer, Bruce Butcher, said Carroll was an obvious choice for the position during a time when the company was changing from being a junior explorer to a leading Australian gas producer. Butcher said Carroll's experience in implementing prudent capital management strategies to deliver cost-effective and innovative funding solutions would be invaluable to Sydney Gas.
