The third Eastern Australasian Basins Symposium (EABS III) will be held at the Exhibition Centre, Darling Harbour, Sydney between 14 - 17 September 2008. The EABS III theme is: Energy Security for the 21st
Century, which will highlight timely topics including discoveries and exploration trends in established basins, frontier regions and
government initiatives in onshore and offshore basins.

Plenary speakers will address topics including climate change, clean coal technology, carbon capture and storage and the role of clean energy sources (gas and geothermal).

For the first time, the Cooper Basin Symposium and the Queensland Symposium will be held in conjunction with EABS III.
